My expertise includes:
I work to help people through difficult challenges while incorporating humor and supportive direction. My counseling theories used during therapy include Dialectical Behavioral, Cognitive-Behavioral, Exposure-Response Prevention (ERP) and Person-centered therapies. I'm also trained in Internal Family Systems, which is a form of trauma therapy.
I currently am scheduling individual adults, college students, and teenagers. I offer both in-person counseling and telehealth counseling for individuals residing in WV or TX.
My Approach
I earned my B.A. in psychology from West Virginia Wesleyan College and M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from West Virginia University. I served as Director of Counseling Services for students at West Virginia Wesleyan College and worked with students who struggled with substance use disorders and eating disorders at West Virginia University’s Collegiate Recovery.
I most recently served as the Director of Adult Services at Esperanza Eating Disorders Center and on the leadership board of my local San Antonio International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals.
